Weekend happenings: Fundraising breakfasts, dinners abound

Pancake breakfast

The Kiwanis Club of Glenshaw is holding a pancake breakfast Nov. 2, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Shaler Area Middle School’s cafeteria.

Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to support community service programs.

The school is located at 1810 Mt. Royal Blvd.

First English Lutheran

First English Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg, 125 N. Main Street, is holding a roast beef dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu includes roast beef, parsley potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, and cake. Takeout is available. The cost is $10 for adults, and $6 for children. There will also be raffle baskets, a bake sale and a door prize.

Teen Lord of the Rings Night

From 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 2 Shaler North Hills Library will host Teen Lord of the Rings Night. There will be games, trivia, cosplay, movies and treats from Middle Earth. There will be prizes for best dressed.

Epworth United Methodist

From 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2, Epworth United Methodist will be hosting a spaghetti dinner. Available for eat-in or take-out, there will be spaghetti with meatballs or sausage, tossed salad, Italian bread, dessert and a beverage.

The cost is $9 for adults; $5 for children 5 to 12; and free for kids under 5.

The church is located at 1300 Burchfield Road, Allison Park.
