Marc Kimberly of Shaler earned Boy Scouting’s highest rank when he successfully completed the Eagle Scout Board of Review on January 15. The son of Connie Kunard and Kenneth Nicholson, Kimberly led a team of youth and adult volunteers to build fencing and benches in front of Glenshaw Valley Presbyterian Church. The fencing serves as beautification, while the benches placed outside the front doors of the church will provide a place for churchgoers to congregate and visit before or after service.
A junior at Shaler Area High School with a 4.00 grade average, Kimberly values his time in Scouting and points to his trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico as a highlight of his time as a Scout.
