Blessed Trinity Academy soccer brings home championship

Blessed Trinity Academy’s JV co-ed soccer team is excited to bring home another Diocesan Championship which they won on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2019. After finishing second in their section for the season, they faced a tough Aquinas team in the semifinals. Although it was a frosty, early morning, the team persevered to victory with a final score of 2-1. Next they faced St. Kilian in the championship game, who they lost to in the regular season. The game was an evenly matched test of both team’s skill, but BTA was able to come out ahead by a score of 2-1. Four members of the team were named to the tournament All-Tournament Team. Those players include Ben Kandravy, Nico Simakas, Liam Regan and Jude Rottmann (Jude was also named BTA’s Most Valuable Player.) Members of the team include Ben Kandravy, Colin Glass, Jack Kandravy, Jack Britt, Jude Caliguiri, Jude Rottmann, Kaitlyn Miller, Liam Regan, Macy Thiel, Madalyn Hill, Maggie Tatar, Nick Graper, Nico Simakas, Shane Restori and Tommy Rottmann.
