Brian Lockman, Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) president and CEO, is visiting Shaler North Hills Library (SNHL) as part of a statewide tour discussing his 20 years hosting the “PA Books” television program focusing on newly published literature covering the state’s history, people and culture.
The Shaler commissioners appointed Lt. Sean Frank to serve as first deputy police chief, effective immediately, during their Oct. 8 meeting. Chief Bryan Kelly plans on retiring in February with more than 34 years of Shaler Township Police Department service.
On Oct. 15, from 2 to 6 p.m., AARP Smart Driver Course will be offered. Most insurance companies offer a discount for course completion. The fee to take the course is $15 for AARP members, and $20 for non-members.
