A Shaler man is accused of assaulting his 4-week-old daughter, leaving her with multiple fractures all over her body, police said Wednesday.

Jamie Easley, 40, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of endangering the welfare of children.

The infant’s family took her to their primary care doctor Sept. 11 after she hadn’t been eating for around two days, according to Lt. Sean Frank. The doctor noted bruises to the girl’s face and abdomen, and she was taken by ambulance to UPMC Children’s Hospital.

Hospital staff found the girl suffering from fractures to her skull, ribs, legs and left arm, Frank said. She was admitted in critical condition, he said.

An investigation led police to Easley, the infant’s father, and charges were filed Monday, Frank said. Easley is being held in the Allegheny County Jail without bail.
