Shaler Area High School students told the true story of a group of young women who made a huge impact on history in “Radium Girls,” which ran from Nov. 21-23.

The play is based on the story of the “radium girls,” the female factory workers from Orange, N.J., who took on the U.S. Radium Corporation after contracting radium poisoning. The female factory workers were helping with the war effort by painting glow-in-the-dark dials with self-luminous paint.
