Epworth United Methodist to hold Peach Social and other fellowship news

Epworth United Methodist Church will host a Peach Social and Bake Sale from 4 to 7 p.m Aug. 22.
In addition to baked goods, there will be beef barbecue, hot dogs, macaroni salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, peach cobbler, ice cream and drinks. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for kids younger than 5.
The church is at 1300 Burchfield Road, Allison Park. For details, call the church office at 412-486-1454.
Glenshaw Presbyterian Church at 300 Glenn Ave. is hosting the annual Deacons’ Festival and Auction in King’s Hall on Aug. 25 at 11:45 a.m. The cost is $5 per person, and children 5 years of age and under are free. The price includes a picnic lunch, dessert and a chance to participate in the charity auction.
Past auction items have included tickets to theatrical shows, sporting events and museums, as well as homemade baked goods, themed baskets, and many other items. The money raised from the Deacons’ Festival is used for work in the community and contributions to numerous charities.
Blessed Trinity Academy
Blessed Trinity Academy is selling raffle tickets coinciding with the 2019 NFL season.
Every week, there are four chances to win based on teams’ weekly scores, with large cash prizes at the end of the season. Overall prizes equal $21,800. Tickets can be purchased for $20 each. Tickets will be sold after Masses at the scrip tables; at the BTA scrip office from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays; and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Fridays at the St. Bonaventure scrip office.
