Three Shaler Area High School students were selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 1 Honors Jazz Band Festival, which will take place Feb. 7-8, 2020, at Pine-Richland High School. The festival is comprised of students from 54 districts in Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland, Greene, and Fayette counties. The guest conductors for the Jazz Bands are Eric Dufade, Jared Sims and Joe Herndon. These students will spend two full days rehearsing with the conductors, and then showcase their talents at the concert performance on Feb. 8.
